Arkane Studios has announced Wolfenstein: Youngblood microtransactions, which will help players to boost up the game’s progress. The latest announcement has arrived from senior game designer Andreas Ojerfors during E3 2019 interview and confirmed that the game will be featuring microtransactions support.
Andreas announced that the players will be allowed to purchase “gold bars” with the real money. With this in-game currency, the players can unlock many kits like emotes, skins. Meanwhile, different weapons, attachments, and upgrades can also be bought through gold bars.
I’ve been playing through the game at work for the last two weeks and I haven’t done any microtransactions. You don’t really need to, but they are there if you want to, if you want to speed things up. But I never felt the need to do that. When I play the game it doesn’t even cross my mind.
Apart from the announcement, there hasn’t been any further details revealed for the pricing for the upcoming Wolfenstein: Youngblood. But it seems like developers are most likely to announce them completely in the future announcements.
Recently, Bethesda also detailed on game’s co-op missions. According to Bethesda, the game will be available with a deluxe edition which will allow anyone to invite one friend at a time during a mission who can enjoy the game for free. The friend can download and play the game as much as he likes but as long as the owner owns the deluxe edition.
While the friend can upgrade the game to full version whenever they want and can still play with the deluxe edition owner. On the other hand, the game is not limited to co-op only, missions can also be played with an AI player.
The Wolfenstein: Youngblood release date is scheduled for July 26th, 2019. The game will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch.
