In recent set of events it has come to light that Reptile appearance may become a possibility in Mortal Kombat 11. Reptile is one of those characters who has appeared in most Mortal Kombat games since MK2. Mortal Kombat 11 releases April 23, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch.
Art Director of the game in an interview was detailing a game mode, during his explanation, he accidentally slipped reptile appearance in the game. Now this may or may not be true as art director of the game did not actually confirm reptile as a part of roster.
Dualshockers in an interview yesterday with Art Director of the game Steve Beran discussed how a new game mode titled as ‘Towers of Time‘ will work in Mortal Kombat 11. He kept on explaining in detail that this game mode will have tons of modifiers that will help players forward in their battles. He then focused specifically on a new modifier titled ‘tag team‘ modifier. While explaining the modifier and how it works, he accidentally spilled the beans and mentioned reptile appearance in the game.
In his example while discussing the tag team modifier he used Skarlet and mentioned that:
She comes in, throws a few blows, and then hops back out… then there’s certain things like you can activate Reptile’s Acid Ball. It’s very nostalgic. You have these helpers, if you will. It’s a blast and we’re really happy about that.
Now this information is not solid as it does not confirm reptile appearance in the game as playable roster. The tag team modifier could be a new in-game mechanic where players can call fighters other than playable roster just to assist them in battles with their special moves. We have seen this kind of feature adaptation in other games.
