Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 2060 technical specification and details leaked

RTX 2060

As 20xx line up of Nvidia’s Geforce RTX cards has launched, the RTX cards has not lived up to that hype as it should be as per their price to performance ratio. But now as we know, most of the gaming community members are having mid range gaming PCs and for that Nvidia has been working on RTX 2060 and RTX based mobile graphics as per fresh leaks.

As per leaks by renowned website videocardz , it is said that the new RTX 2060 by Gigabyte will be based on TU106 GPU with 1920 CUDA cores and 6GB of GDDR6 memory having 1200 max frequency. For power delivery, it will have a 8 pin connector, as it is custom made PCB made by gigabyte, but the reference design might have 6 pin connector.

If compared to the previous gen GTX 1060, RTX 2060 has 640 more CUDA cores than that of 1060. Still the core clock frequencies has yet not disclosed as the previous GTX 1060 had base core clock of 1506 MHz with boost clock of 1709 MHz. Though one might say that the new RTX 2060 has less memory frequency than that of the previous 1060 i-e 1200 MHz vs 2002 MHz, but the new new Nvidia Turing Series has less memory clock with significant increase in performance than the last generation GPUs.

Still it can not be confirmed that this new cared will be call RTX or GTX as Nvidia mentioned while releasing the RTX based cards that the minimum required card for ray tracing capability will be the RTX 2070, so if the new 2060 card won’t have any of this feature will it be called GTX? Or it have have same tensor cores as the RTX cards? Still there are more specifications to be known about this new RTX 2060.

Are you also hyped for this card? will it have significant amount power to dethrone the its predecessors in mid range category? let us know in the comments section below.
