To talk about famous racing games, Codemaster’s Grid is not an exception. Grid series always has been a part of the racing genre and players. While today Codemasters has announced another game in the series yet a Grid reboot scheduled to arrive on September 13th, 2019.
The all-new Grid reboot will take players to different classes from GT, Touring, Stoc, Muscle, Super-modified, and many others along with more challenging modes from circuit tracks, ovals and last but not least the street racing. The new damage mechanics will now impact on both car’s performance and handling. While developers have mentioned that too much damage for a car will no more service in a race, yet following more challenging and revenge racing in the upcoming game.
Grid game director Chris Smith also came forward to talk about the new entry in the series. According to his words:
The game offers so much variety and depth, from the number of modern and classic cars through to the locations and race options. Renowned for its handling, the game will appeal to all types of player, from casual drivers who want a lean-in challenge, to sim drivers who want some serious fun.
Previous games were also detailed and better in terms of both the content and quality and that’s what made Grid games better. Moreover, the new game now focusses on continuing the series tradition with more challenges and realistic simulation experience to both casual arcade gamers and the simulation racers.
The new Grid reboot will once again bring the Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso who was also part of the previous games as a consultant. While the new game will allow players to be guided by Alonso’s FA team in each class along with a drive in his Renault R26 in a final event.
