NetherRealm Studio’s Mortal Kombat 11 sales have marked second highest sold game of the year. The game is followed by the Kingdom Hearts 3 is on top of the hitting max sales, while the new Mortal Kombat 11 has managed to achieve most sales on all platforms. The news is not too much surprising at all but with all the efforts of developers and community reception, Mortal Kombat 11 has been the best in the series.
Not only that, the new Mortal Kombat 11 instantly became popular in April 2019. Moreover, the NPO group of game’s retail tracking service has announced that it was the first time a 3rd party has allowed to hit monthly Switch bestsellers since the release of Ubisoft’s Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle in September 2017.
The new Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest entry in the series of NetherRealm Studios, initially revealed in The Games Award 2018. The game announcement quickly received a great hype which was totally worthful. Moreover, the game was also hit with many issues and changes request which were based on the added microtransactions for the game.
While the game’s producer Shaun Himmerick already confirmed that they don’t want any advantage for money. The Mortal Kombat 11 microtransactions are added in order to give players an extra hand of choice to buy up first or should spend real money on that.
Moreover, NetherRealm Studios also responded to all players reports and known issues related to microtransactions and did change the scheme of each item transactions with a patch update. Studio also announced to offer free in-game currency bundle to all of the Mortal Kombat 11 players. The bundle came with 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Souls, and 1,000 Time Crystals.
Apart from the issues, the Mortal Kombat 11 sales numbers are continued to grow and they can be pushed even further with a game DLC. The DLC content always helps developers to push more content with extra revenue, while with microtransaction support NetherRealm Studios will be going for it.
We already know Shan Tsung for being the first DLC character for Mortal Kombat 11. While an official announcement from the studio is yet to be announced.
